Motivering:
Die bosberaad is belê op versoek van die raad van die Dohne Merino Telersgenootskap om konsensus te bereik ten opsigte van gedissiplineerde optrede deur beide kuddetelers en stoettelers om wetenskaplike vooruitgang van die ras te bevorder. Veranderings in die berekening van teeltwaardes asook visuele evaluering van diere sal ter sprake kom.
Die raad van die genootskap is so ernstig oor hierdie bosberaad dat versoek is dat bywoning verpligtend is vir elke teler saam met sy hoof inspekteur en een klïent.
Motivation:
The council of the Dohne Merino breed society called this think tank to find consensus on disciplined and coordinated action by commercial and stud breeders to further the scientific improvement of the breed. Changes to the methods of calculating breeding values as well as visual evaluation will also be debated.
In the wake of the seriousness of the matters concerned, the council of the breed society requested that attendance be compulsory for all members of the society, together with their inspectors and one client.
