FC Bester sold 63 top rams at the average price of R16,810. The top price for XP-Boerdery was R32,000 for the ram XP210363, which was sold to Mr. Johan Swart, Riviersonderend. XP210363, twin born, had breeding values of: weaning weight direct +3.685 kg; weaning weight maternal -0.724 kg; number of lambs weaned -0.479 kg; clean fleece weight +0.437 kg; fibre diameter -0.639 micron; general merit +17.82 units.
Jandre Bester sold 33 Dohne Merino rams at the average price of R13,212. Jandre’s top priced ram BB210260 was sold at R23,000 to Kirsten Farming. This ram had breeding values of: weaning weight direct +2.971 kg; weaning weight maternal +0.773 kg; number of lambs weaned -1.987 percent; clean fleece weight +0.358 kg; fibre diameter -0.875 micron; general merit 22.05 units
The combined result for this excellent sale is therefore 96 top Dohne Merino rams sold for an average price of R15,573.
