Phillip Erasmus and his family, held the very successful 29th production sale of Charlton Dohnes on the 31st of August, 2021, at “Die Kaia”, Somerset East. The 38 excellent veld reared and very adaptable rams, were all sold for the average price of R9961. Dr Francois Pretorius from Ermelo, bought the highest priced ram at the price of R17,000. This exellent ram, EC200602, born as one of a twin, had breeding values of: Weaning direct +1.495 kg; Weaning maternal -0387 kg; Number lambs weaned -0.137 percent; 12 months body weight 1.407 kg; Clean fleece weight +0.199 kg; Fibre diameter -0.494 micron.
