FEM Dohnes, of Burgersdorp held their successful production sale on the 28th of February 2024. Commercial ewes offered on sale achieved good prices. Young ewes sold for R1875 and R2650 was paid for ewes pregnant with twins. 74 Rams sold at the average price of R12710. Congratulations to Wicus Bekker of All-In-One Crux Dohnes who paid the top price of R70,000 for ram SD210685. This ram had breeding values of: weaning weight direct +2.16 kg; weaning weight maternal -0.70 kg; number of lambs weaned per ewe lifetime -0.13 percent; clean fleece weight +0.36 kg; fiber diameter -0.12 micron and general merit of 10.63.
