From the Scripture

1 Tim 2: 1-4 “First of all, then, I urge you that petitions, prayers, requests, and thanksgivings be offered to God for all people; for kings and all others who are in authority, that we may live a quiet and peaceful life with all reverence towards God and with proper conduct. This is good and pleases God our Saviour, who wants everyone to be saved and to come to know the truth”

Colleagues, we are experiencing a very difficult time at present. Meat prices have fallen, one wool auction after another is cancelled. It is very dry in large parts of our country, livestock feed is very expensive, vermin is a problem and we also have a very high tax burden. All factors beyond our control. What can we do?
Paul writes to his spiritual son Timothy: “Do not underestimate the power of prayer.” When you come to a point where you feel totally extradited, the only way you can follow is to go back to our Heavenly Father. He is the hearer and the answerer of prayer. He is the only one who can deliver us. He promises us a calm and quiet equilibrium. Fully committed to God in all honesty, but then we must ask it of Him.

Luke 11: 9: “Ask and you will receive, seek and you will find. Knock and the door will be opened to you.”

1 John 3:22: “… when we pray, we will receive.”
We need real help. The only place where we will surely
receive help is with the Lord.
Farm in tranquillity, because God is and remains in control.
