Kouga dohnes had their annual production sale at the Humansdorp auction complex on 12 September 2023. A total of 69 excellent Dohne Merino rams were sold at the average price of R12,239. Congratulations to Mr. DH Wessels (Weska Dohnes) who bought the top priced ram at the price of R25,000. The ram, JD330071, one of a twin had breeding values of: weaning direct +4.324 kg; weaning weight maternal -0.329 kg; number of lambs weaned per ewelifetime -0.013 percent; clean fleece weight +0.059 kg; fibre diameter -1.143 micron;general merit +15.150.
