Sales Result – Charfontein Dohnes, Vrede

Mr. Andries Greyling of Charfontein Dohnes, Vrede, Freestate, held a remarkably successful production sale on the 21st of July 2016. The extremely high average price of R12200 for 63 rams sold, indicates high confidence in the breed to withstand adverse farming conditions, by South African flock farmers . The highest price of R41000 was also paid by a flock farmer – Mr. de Jager from Hendrina. It is very encouraging that rams of excellent quality still attains high prices under circumstances of extreme drought in the South African small stock inland areas! Mrrs.
