Suidplaas Dohnes held their extremely successful production sale on 24 Jan 2024. A total of 220 ewes were sold at the average price of R2709 and 79 rams were sold at an average price of R14,797. The top ram on the day, JG221386 was sold to Blydskap Trust at R80,000. The ram had breeding values of: weaning weight direct +3.823 kg; weaning weight maternal -0.180 kg; number of lambs weaned per ewe lifetime -0.182 percent; clean fleece weight +0.481 kg; fibre diameter -0.027 micron and general merit +17.59.
