Crux Dohnes staged their 10 th production sale on the 8th of February 2018. On this occasion Cameron McMaster addressed the public on the exceptional merit of this Dohne Merino stud which not only honours but keep to the principle of veld rearing rams. This practise ensures commercially orientated rams that perform exceptionally well under ordinary commercial woollled sheep farmings conditions in South Africa. The sale was marked by an average price of R9 057 for the total of 131 rams sold. This number of rams sold, is the second highest for a production sale in South Africa. The average price for the 20 AA rams on offer was R17 750 with R7 491 for the 11 young rams off the veld! The van Wyk family also from Edenburg bought the highest priced ram at R48 000.
