CRUX Dohnes held its second production sale of 2023 on 12 October, 2023. A total of 33 Dohne Merino rams and 149 commercial and stud ewes were all sold at this very successful sale. The average price for rams was R14,424 and the price for the 46 stud ewes sold was R2,000. Prices for commercial ewes were between R1,500 and R1,800. The top priced ram was sold at the price of R68,000 to Mr van Rooyen and Mr Pienaar. JL212162 had breeding values of: weaning weight direct +0.307 kg; weaning weight maternal -0.354 kg; number of lambs weaned -0.611 percent per ewe lifetime; clean fleece weight +0.200 kg; fibre diameter -0.233 micron; general merit +5.01.
