Jannie Krüger and his son Niël bought in only the best genetics they could lay their hands on when they established their Dohne Merino stud, a few years back. This father and son combination must be congratulated on the excellent stud they managed to buid up in such a short period in time. Their strategy paid off when they staged their first official sale this year on the 23rd of August. For starters they sold 10 top rams and also achieved a highest price of R7,500. The sale took place amidst a terribly dry spell that subdued all farming activities in the Southern Freestate. We wish this newcomers on the Dohne Merino scene the best possible future and we trust that their sale will go from strength to strength.
