Marcellene van Rooyen held Mullersvlei Dohnes’ annual production sale on Tuesday, 24 August, 2021, under severe conditions, at Calvinia. A total of 30 Dohne Merino were sold at the average price of R8,133. The top priced ram at R22,000 was sold to Mr. Rossouw Cilliers, Laaste Drift Dohnes, Ceres. The ram, MV200300 born as a single had breeding values of: Weaning direct +2.405 kg; Weaning maternal -0.147 kg; Number of lambs weaned -1.057 percent; 12 months body weight 2.379 kg; Clean fleece weight 0.176 kg; Fibre diameter -0.214 micron.
