Olea Dohnes held their annual production sale on the farm Strydfontein, in the Barkly East district. A total of 48 top rams were all sold on the date of 20 January 2022. The average price of R6885 was realized for veld reared rams with excellent genetic qualities. Congratulations to Mr DJ Vorster who bought OJ200545 at the top price of R15500. The single born ram’s breeding values were: weaning direct 1.35 kg; weaning maternal 0.63 kg; number of lambs weaned -0.944 percent; clean fleece weight -0.043 kg; fibre diameter 0.263 micron. Ewes were sold at the average price of R1800.
