Lowmar Dohnes held the second Dohne Merino production sale of the 2018 sales season on the 23rd of January on the farm Vervulling in the Cradock district. Despite terrible dry conditions in the Karoo, Mr Hugh Collett, Phillipie and Japie Marais, still managed to sell the 69 rams on auction for an average price of R8,700. Ewes were in high demand and pregnant adult stud ewes went for R2,600. Young two tooth pregnant ewes were sold at R2,700 each. The highest price for an individual ram was R22,000.
