Mr Boeta Wessels and Jurie Wessels held the very successful annual production sale of Weska Dohnes on the farm Karsrivier Bredasdorp. On the day of 29 July, 2022, the total of 76 top Dohne Merino rams were all sold at the average price of R16,974. The top priced ram, JW201107, at R56,000 was bought by Waaifontein Farming, Humansdorp. The ram born as one of a twin, had breeding values of: weaning weight direct +1.408 kg; weaning weight maternal -0.571 kg; number of lambs weaned +0.701 percent; clean fleece weight +0.400 kg; fibre diameter +0.105 micron; general merit +8.7 units.
