Mr Zeiss Jordaan, Sneeuberg Dohnes held his 14th production sale on the 3rd of February on the farm Zuurfontein in the Cradock district. The rams for sale were of very high quality with excellent balance between wool and conformation. Zeiss is very proud that he attained second highest price on the wool auction for clip sold. His overall average price per kg wool is at this stage still number eight for the entire season’s wool sales in South Africa. The sale was marked by a severe hailstorm. It had people scrambling for cover in their vehicles with rams already uploaded. In order to present better quality rams, 19 less rams were offered for sale and as a result the average sale price increased by R1106 compared to the 2015 result.
