The Hencil Dohne Merino stud held its 15th production sale on 26 January, 2022, on the farm Grootvlei in the Barkly East district. The total of 68 excellently prepared Dohne Merino rams were all sold at the average price of R19 220. The top priced ram at R180 000 VM190684, one of a twin, had breeding values of: weaning direct 3.10 kg; weaning maternal -0.85 kg; number lambs weaned -0.086 percent; clean fleece weight 0.628 kg; fibre diameter 0.046 micron.

Ewes scanned pregnant with twins were sold at prices varying between R2800 and R2900 while ewes (2tooth to full mouth) bearing singles, were sold at prices ranging from R2500 to R2750. The ewes were in excellent condition.
