Frans and Andries Marx – Production sale

Frans and Andries Marx hosted their 28th production Sale under the worst possible drought conditions. The fact that the sale average increased by R877 above the 2015 average can be ascribed to innovative thinking of this exceptionally efficient farmers with a very positive attitude. Innovation led to the design of a cheap multi- purpose feeding trough that can be utilized for phases of creep feeding ewe production and rounding off of stock. The way of making use of “feed drawers” to stretch the nutritional value of purchased grain as well as preparing rams in the most economical way possible, speak volumes for the managing skills applied by the Marx’s (see additional photos below the sales photograph).
