On a stifling hot day on the farm Vervulling, Cradock, Lowmar Dohnes held their equally hot 13th production sale. Ewes for sale on the day of the sale, 26 January, 2023, fetched prices of between 2350 and R3500 (scanned pregnant with triplets).
The total of 55 rams were all sold at the average price of R13 045. Congratulations to the the Nels’ who bought LM210081 at the top price of R34 000. This ram born as one of a triplet had breeding values of: weaning direct +0.968 kg; weaning maternal -0.694 kg; number of lambs weaned +0.3333 percent; clean fleece weight +0.362 kg; fibre diameter -1.001 micron and general merit +13.15.
